Inspired by 52 Suburbs, I hope to document the various neighbourhoods of Singapore with photographs. We'll explore Singapore using MRT stops as jump-off points, trying to capture distinctive features that makes each area unique and showing that Singapore is not as cookie-cutter as it might seem. It's an opportunity to see locations in a different light, as well as to explore new places given that many people stick to their usual routes (I'll confess to that, having never ventured far from the east).
In the meantime, a secondary blog has been set up at singaporebymrt.tumblr.com, sourcing photos from panoramio. It serves as a scouting tool and encapsulates the spirit of the project, singaporebyMRT.
